Kristian Alexander has been appointed Chair of the Conductors Guild 2007 International Conference to be held in Toronto, for a first time outside the USA. This major cultural event will feature speakers from Canada, USA, England, Denmark, Finland, Italy, and Israel and will bring together internationally acclaimed conductors, instrumentalists, musicologists, educators, composers, writers, therapists, government officials and supporters of the arts from across the business world.

After one year of an extensive search for Music director and conductor, the Oakville Chamber Orchestra has invited Kristian A. Alexander to conduct the final concert of its 2002-2003 season. Two other conductors, among 28 prospective candidates, have been selected to lead one concert before the final decision will be announced.

July 22, Mr. Kristian A. Alexander will fly to Sofia (Bulgaria) where he was
invited to discuss guest-conducting opportunities with the National Radio
Broadcasting Orchestra. Later he will conduct concerts in Eastern Europe and
will return to Canada at the end of August.
